Element Samurai

Pitch

In Element Samurai, you play a samurai purchassing an outlaw through the Yokai Mountain.  His blade can absorb the element of the last enemy it cut, allowing you to switch between different abilities.

• Fire element : shoot fireball that burn wood and light torches
• Wind element : gain an extra wind jump and projects an airstream
• More to come in later versions !

Context

This is a vertical slice (one level) of a solo project made during my programming school's 3rd year. 

Developped from 09/2020 to 06/2022. 

Main inspirations

• Celeste (pixel art style, platforming)
• Kirby (stealing the enemies abilities, straightforward level design) 
• Genshin Impact (elements and environnement interactions).

Controls (Keyboard / Gamepad)

• Run : Keyboard arrows / Left stick
• Jump : Spacebar / Bottom pad button
• Contact attack : S / Right pad button
